Al-Wafir Marketing Services Company was established for the purpose of developing Kuwait’s Central Fruits and Vegetables market. In the year 2010; and under a BOT structure with the Government of Kuwait for a period of 19 years, Al-Wafir Company started successfully the Alforda Central Fruits & Vegetables Market as a strategic economic food hub in the state of Kuwait. Al-Wafir has built Alforda as a state of the art facility, implemented modern logistics and operations systems, all in line with international management practices. With 31 loading and offloading docks, it has the capacity of servicing 1,000 trucks and handling 4,320 pallets daily. It has warehousing space of 17,000 sqm with different suitable temperatures, divided between chilled and dry space. The company has plans to expand its operations into the region through the establishment of similar projects and other food-related ventures.

Established in 1998 as a Kuwaiti Closed Shareholding Company, The National Slaughter House Company’s activities entail management and development of the central slaughterhouse and livestock market in Al-Jahra Governorate.

The slaughterhouse is spread over a total area of 54,000 meters squared composed of an administrative building, a 1000 meters squared fully equipped slaughter hall and 4000 meters squared of livestock yards. In addition, the project entails a restaurant, supermarkets, cattle feed shops and grinders. It is the sole slaughterhouse in Al-Jahra Governorate with an average per day slaughtering of 350 heads.

Due to the success on the first slaughterhouse project, the company invested in another slaughterhouse in Al-Farwaniya known as Al-Oula Slaughterhouse Company. Al-Oula Slaughterhouse rests on a total area of 50,000 meter squared which entails a 2,600 meters squared showroom and a slaughter hall of 500 meters squared. The project has 149 points of sale, 68 livestock yards and 23 retail shops.
